Adam Suzin

“I observe and focus.”

Adam was born in 1992 in Warsaw. He graduated from the Cinematography Department of Łódź Film School. As Film school student he did around 30 short films, docs and fiction.

Last short he shot “Tremors” dir. Dawid Bodzak was awarded for best short film at many festivals around the world (Grand Prix at Clermont-Ferrand Festival International Competition, Grand Prix Guadalajara, Best Film at Kiev Short film Festival, Grand Prix Kaohsiung Film Festival).

During studies he shot feature documentary debut “Over the limit” dir. Marta Prus, which was awarded for the Best Cinematography at the 58^th Krakow Film Festival and for which he got Best Documentary Award from Polish Society of Cinematographers.

After studies he continued to shoot short films and work as camera operator on feature films such as: “Sweat” dir. Magnus von Horn, “Teściowie” dir. Kuba Michalczuk “On the run“, dir. Beata Dzianowicz, “Broad Peak” dir. Leszek Dawid and tv series: “The Woods” (Netflix), “Warszawianka” (HBO), “Rysa” AXN, “Becoming Elisabeth” (Lions Gate).

In 2023, the film “Crocodile” was selected for the prestigious Semaine de la Critique at the 76^th Cannes Film Festival.

Recently he’s working on feature film debut “Dolphin” directed by Sonja Orlewicz-Zakrzewska, which shooting is planned for 2024. Documentary experience inspire him to shoot fiction movies and he likes to combine these genres.

In his fiction work, he loves creating small universes and guide the viewer emotions through the story with visuals.
