Ignacy Ciszewski

Ignacy is a graduate of the Cinematography Department at the Polish National Film School in Łódź (PWSFTviT). He is a cinematographer whose body of work spans narrative films, documentaries, and music videos.

His films have been showcased at numerous festivals in Poland and internationally, including the Gdynia Film Festival, New Horizons International Film Festival, and the Camerimage International Film Festival, where he was awarded the Silver Tadpole for The Creature, directed by Damian Kosowski.

Currently in post-production are two of his latest projects: the documentary Freak Show, directed by Łukasz Ronduda and Filip Pawlak, and La Petite Mort, a hybrid of performance and fiction directed by Martyna Byczkowska and Kaja Zalewska.

Ciszewski is an avid traveler and enjoys working abroad. His international experience includes projects in Greece, Georgia, Israel, and Alaska. His background in documentary filmmaking has shaped his intuitive approach to cinematography, emphasizing responsiveness, adaptability, and heightened awareness of his surroundings.

He frequently works with 16mm film, most recently with Jan Bujnowski on the short Bad Ideas, which is currently awaiting its premiere.

In addition to his work as a cinematographer, he also takes on camera operator and director roles for smaller-scale projects. He is currently in development on two feature-length film’s.
