Kalina is a costume designer and fashion stylist with over 12 years of experience spanning commercial, editorial, and screen-based projects. Trained in London with a BA from London College of Fashion and an MA from Kingston University, she spent five years as a creative consultant for BAFTA-winning artist Alison Jackson, mastering the art of visual storytelling in high-pressure environments. Now based in Sweden, she has expanded her practice into long-form cinema, recently making her feature film debut with Tryck på Knappen (Push the Button), a 2026 release produced by Film i Väst and SVT that showcases her ability to build complex, narrative-driven wardrobes.
Her filmography also includes the costume design for Grasp, a music video for Grammis-winning artist Amanda Bergman, and she is currently collaborating on a new short film project with actress Isabelle Grill (Midsommar, Clark).
Whether working on global campaigns for Volvo Electric Trucks and Electrolux or independent cinema, Kalina approaches each project as a hybrid of costume researcher and psychologist, building characters from the inside out and focusing on subtle details that define a persona’s presence on screen. Her method prioritizes collaboration and deep research, ensuring that every costume serves the atmosphere and the evolving needs of the story.
