His first job was in a VHS rental shop, so he had all the time in the world to appreciate the jewels of popular cinema. What seemed to be a teenager’s adventure has later determined Kuba’s whole professional life. He worked as an editor, online and VFX artist and later became VFX supervisor to finally devote himself entirely to film directing.
Since then, he has been working on TV commercials for the biggest brands, as well as develops his feature projects.
In 2021 he debuted with his feature film “The In – Laws” (“Teściowie”), starring Maja Ostaszewska, Marcin Dorociński, Izabela Kuna and Adam Woronowicz.
This year, his second feature: “Miało Cię Nie Być” (“Ryfka”) starring Sonia and Borys Szyc was released in cinemas. The film received 4 nominations and one award in the prestigious Mastercard Off Camera Festival competition.
Kuba is a true multidisciplinary creator for whom writing a classic script as well as coming up with specific VFX solution cause no fear. He loves when each frame is visually crafted in a way that enhances and guides the storyline. Every detail has its own, crucial role, no matter whether it’s a feature film, TV ad or an alternative project.
The ultimate judge of Kuba’s work are his kids Helena and Iwo. Kuba admits it can cause some pressure, but whenever these two approve his work, it brings him immense satisfaction.
