Mela Melak

“Turning creative vision into cinematic reality ”

Mela Melak is a Polish production designer specializing in feature films, commercials, and music videos. Her production design for A Real Pain (directed by Jesse Eisenberg) contributed to the film earning nominations at the 97^th Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs after its premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.

Previously, she worked on the French-Polish documentary Kubrick by Kubrick (dir. Gregory Monro), which won an International Emmy. She was also responsible for the Polish production design of Claire Denis’s High Life, starring Juliette Binoche and Robert Pattinson, and later worked on Lipstick on the Glass, a Polish-German co-production directed by Kuba Czekaj.

Mela’s international experience spans Estonia, Malta, Germany, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and South Africa. She has contributed to co-productions with the United States, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK, establishing herself as a key creative force in global cinema.
