Stefania and Maciej Strzałkowscy-Rajca are a production design duo who put all their love into movies and theatre plays. Working together since March 2018, they have completed 20 short films and 3 feature films as production designers.
Stefania graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2021 with a Master’s degree in production design, and she currently works at her alma mater as an assistant to Prof. Ewa Braun. Maciek is an eternal student, now studying production design and sculpture at the same Academy. Privately, they are a married couple passionate about the world, especially art, nature, ballet, and climbing.
Recently, Stefania and Maciej served as the two production designers for Chopin, Chopin!, Michał Kwieciński’s 2025 biographical drama that offers an intimate, psychological look at the composer’s final years in Paris. They also worked as art directors on the film Fatherland directed by Paweł Pawlikowski.
These projects follow their feature film debut as a duo on Wrooklyn Zoo, directed by Krzysztof Skonieczny, which premiered in 2024.
