Tomasz Gajewski, born 1985, is a cinematographer and graduate of the prestigious Cinematography Department at the Łódź Film School. He is the Director of Photography for numerous acclaimed short films and the award-winning feature debut by Emi Buchwald, which took home a prize at last year’s Gdynia Film Festival.
His work has been recognized at international festivals including T‑Mobile New Horizons, Short Waves, Etiuda & Anima, and Tofifest. In 2017, he received a Golden Tadpole nomination at Camerimage for his cinematography on Heimat (dir. Emi Buchwald). Tomasz’s versatile portfolio also includes experimental and creative documentaries, such as Science (dir. Emi Buchwald) and Happiness (dir. Maciej Buchwald).
Alongside his film career, Tomasz works extensively in commercials (ING, PKO, Adidas) and music videos (Sylwia Grzeszczak, Rasmentalism, Mister D.). He is deeply committed to exploring new visual languages, blending technical experimentation with a constant search for innovative storytelling through camera movement.
