Pola Gomółka’s innate curiosity, years spent on travelling and the joy she derives from exploring the world led her to study journalism and cultural studies. Her nearly obsessive care for details, as well as her undying love for art in all of its forms have shaped the extraordinary costume designer she is today.
Media like film and theater are for her a space like a canvas is for a painter. An area where she can express her undeniable passion to create something exquisite.
While film for Pola seems to be an area for romanticizing the cinematic message, where costumes are a fundamental part of storytelling, in theater she values working on a living organism, creating costumes that reflect the essence of the character wearing them.
Ultimately Pola gained recognition for her work in advertising winning the title of The Costume Designer of the Year 2023 according to Media Marketing Poland.
After all designing costumes for Pola is not only a way of making a living, but primarily passion and play with form, which, combined with her great attention to detail and constant concern for aesthetics gives marvelous results. Her work in the art of costume design exhibits precision and sensitivity at every turn, creating unique visual narratives for each and every project she is involved in.
